. The sequel to the critically-acclaimed Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor-winner of over 50 industry awards-arrives the August, continuing the original story of Talion and Celebrimbor, who must now go behind enemy lines to forge an army and turn all of Mordor against the Dark Lord, Sauron. – Middle-earth: Shadow of War A Sandbox for Predators by Matt Miller Concept: Return to Mordor on a mission of conquest and vengeance, fighting endless fantasy villains in a systemic sequence of epic confrontations Graphics: Gorgeous environments, characters, and creatures call to mind the films directed by Peter Jackson Sound: Excellent voice actors bring the story to life, and a militaristic orchestral score punctuates the action, sometimes integrating individual sword strikes into the musical soundscape Playability: The complex web of abilities and skills is tutorialized gradually, as the game recognizes unused abilities and prompts their use Entertainment: You are a merciless tornado of ruin touching down in an unforgiving world of battle and domination, and embracing that unfettered power is a joy Replay: Moderately High Orcs scatter as my drake makes another pass over the fortress, breathing fire into their ranks as they scramble to cover. Dramatic reinventions of characters like Shelob and the nature of the Nazgul feel strange at first, but viewed independently of Tolkien canon, the logical…
